3 Weird Ideas for a Fun Date
Date planning is a tough job, and it’s easy to lapse into clichés that your girl is sick of. Just the generic dinner and a movie isn’t enough to keep most girl’s attention, so it’s time to step up your dating game a little bit. To be honest, the best date ideas are the ones that are either entirely free or don’t cost much. At the heart of it, your girlfriend loves spending time with you and wants you to take her on thoughtful dates that she’ll remember forever. If you’re looking for some strange things to do on a date that are sure to be memorable, look no further.
Thrift Shop
Chances are that you would never consider taking your girlfriend to a thrift shop and calling it a date. Most guys would assume that it was just a cheap cop-out for actually doing something fun, but that’s not the case. Thrift shops are a collection of off-the-wall things that nobody wants anymore, and if you’re creative the two of you can have hours of fun playing around with all of that stuff. Go into the clothes and pick out the strangest things you can find – bonus points if you cross-dress. Find clothes with garish colors and contrasting patterns that clash with each other, or just have weird designs. There’s nothing like wearing an ill-fitting blouse with too much shoulder padding and a plaid kilt to get her rolling around laughing. Take photos and put them online to show everyone all the crazy combinations you think up, and so that you can remember all the fun.
Graveyard
This one’s a little tricky, as a lot of graveyards are guarded at night. Though, if you find a small one, you’ll probably have more luck using this as a date spot. For a couple who is into the supernatural and paranormal, the graveyard is a perfect venue for you. Enjoy a relaxing and romantic night among the tombstones, pack a dinner for the two of you to share, and even plan some scary games after your meal. Packing an Ouija board to play around at night is a surefire way to have her clinging to you and to give her the night of her life.
Car Ride
A car ride sounds boring, but trust us, it isn’t. Just hop in the car and set your destination for anywhere. Who knows what you could find if you just let yourself drive around for a while. Drive for about an hour or so to get away from your town, try out a weird hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and see the unfamiliar sights. It’s a good way to peak her interest and do some exploring together without getting too crazy or spending too much money. It’s like a miniature vacation for the two of you, and if you want you can even spring for a hotel wherever you arrive. This “mundane” date idea will be one of your most memorable one.
